Check-in button in office applications

Background: When editing a document that has been opened from PP I have to close the document in order to check in a new version to PP. It takes a few seconds before the dialog with "Save back to PP?" comes up.

Problem: There are two problems with this.
1) I get a feeling of uncertainty: "will if this will work or will my changes be lost?"
2) If the plugin crashes while I am editing a document (it has happened to me a couple of times due to bad Internet connections), my changes are lost for real.

Solution: Add a check-in button in the office applications (word, excel, ...) so that I can check in a new version to PP without having to close the document. I would then feel confident that my changes are saved in a new version or I will get an indication that the plugin has died and I can save the document locally

Make meeting documents available in Apps

The item Meeting has a tab for documents. We are using this tab for Agenda and Meeting Record and we make links to relevant documents.
The documents and links in this tab are not available in the Projectplace App on my Android Galaxy Tab.

A solution with greater benefits:
Generate automatically in general Documents a map 'Meetings', with submaps (only reading) per meeting date/time, f.e. 20120202|10:00, and make links to or copies of the originals.

Then you can also share/zip the meeting docs with other people.

Lastpass integration

I use Lastpass for all my passwords, that works for all browsers but not the Project place application. As I don't remember this password I have to go into the browser and cut and paste the password every time the Project place application decides to log me out.

So, if possible a Lastpass integration would be great!

Automated log in when uploading documents

While working with documents you often get logged out due to time. When for example the meeting finished and you start closing (and saving) the documents you have to enter your password for each documents. If it is possible it would have been much user friendly to let the first "save" work as a log in, so that you can continue working with projectplace as usual.

Reordering tollgates when setting them up in project description

I'm a new user of ProjectPlace. While setting up tollgates, I wanted to include more tollgates. However, new tollgates will always be the last. If I want to create a tollgate in the middle, I've to manually cut and paste the affected tollgates.

It will be good if I can either drag and the tollgates (the diamond shapes) to reorder them or you have up and down arrows to move the selected tollgate that I've already entered.

Om man går in på ett ärende via en länk man har fått via mail, hur kommer man då in till Projektplatsen för att direkt kunna hantera flera ärenden?

Jag skulle vilja ha en "hemknapp" så att jag direkt kan komma till det akuella projektet.

Editing or Changing Issues

Many times a Project Manager creates issues on behalf of project participants. Would be great to add a function to edit the "Created By" so the issue refelcts the actual source (for developers or suppliers) and not the Project Manager.

New doc info through e-mail or sms

There should be a sensor informing each member through an e-mail or sms each time a new document is added to a project (in that case the member does not need to control the document file daily).

Filtering based on document creation date

Currently, it is possible to filter documents in "Search for Documents" view based on date the document was changed. It is really frustrating that the filtering is not taking into account newly created documents at all. If the document is never changed, it is never shown in the list.

I think it is a BIG change for the document, when it starts to exist, don't you think? =)

Add Status column complete (%) in Project Overview per Task

In the Project overview the different tasks are displayed with the person who is responsible and the date this task should be completed.
It would be benificiary to have the percentage where this task is displayed.
This is a direct indication what needs to be done or wheter the task is almost finished or not.

Possibility to use organisation charts in the project description/organisation

In the project description/organisation there is a possibility to add information about the project organisation. The easiest way to do this would be through pasting a organisation chart from another program (or a picture file) but today it seems that only text is possible.

I would like to have a more flexible app on my windows desktop. Some kind of configuration is needed to have the ability to place the app on i.e the left/right side. Or even to have it as a gadget.

I also suggest that you consider the possibility to add information about the latest activities (the red flag) from the tab "Project Overview" in each project, to the projects listed in the Project Office. That would lead to less work to investigate which projects that are active (and what they have done) and those who are not.

Ask to unlock after updating a file

If a document is opened and THEN locked. There is no question whether to unlock the document when is has beens saved and updated. This sometimes results in leaving documents as locked without the intention of doing so.

If the document is locked during the open process there is such a question.

Project Office – communication by e-mail, sms

Is it possible to add information about members from the tab "People" in each project to the projects listed in the Project Office?
And also add the functions from the toolbar in the same tab so I could send e-mails and sms from the Project Office to all (or selected) projects at the same time.
Now we have to communicate with one project at a time.

The ability for a user to configure a cross-project issues page

I am a member of many projects. Many are similar in scope and objective. I would like to be able to see all issues for selected projects in a single view so I can plan mine and others workload across the various projects.

The facility has to be user configurable and have options to filter or have all issues regardless.
Filtering to be possible on different aspects such as issues assigned to me or selected people, issues in one or more status; filtering on deselection (such as exclude if closed), etc. etc.

The user may wish to have multiple views on issues.

Notification on open document.

When you select to open and lock a document you should get a notification if another person has the document open. Because if that person has´nt lockt the document you can lock it and then save your changes but if the other person then after you saves his/her open version back it overvrites your changes.

Booking an online meeting

We also have a GoToMeeting licence, it's provided by Citrix just like Netviewer in PP. It allows us to book an online meeting just like one can book a normal meeting in Outlook. It's very frustrating to agree a future date but not to be able to send the meeting ID and joining instructions when booking an online meeting. Please fix ASAP!
