I recommend that you test the new version of Documents. It is much faster.

Fully agree with the commenst on the new PP update. Simply browsing through the files is very slow. Using the scroll bar is very annoying since the content of the screen is moving seconds later. Please bring back the old perfromance. That is more important for me than the new functionality.

Hi,

Most people who have reported performance issues after the recent update to Projectplace have been helped by clearing the cache of their browser. Here's a link to an explanation on how to do this in your browser:
http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache

After performing these steps it is very important to close ALL open browser windows and reopening a fresh browser window to try again. In some instances, particularly in Internet Explorer, it may be necessary to manually delete the temporary internet files. You do this by going to on the toolbar in Internet Explorer to "Tools"/"Internet Options" Then clicking on "Settings in the section for browsing history, In the new window that opens click on "View files". This opens a window with a lot of files. Delete all files in this window and then close it. OK out to your browser- delete the history including cookies and temporary files. Close all open internet windows and try again.

If you still have problems after this our support can help you further. Try http://support.projectplace.com for local numbers or to send them a report via email.

Best regards,
Karolina

I came to this forum to complain about the refresh speed. I was "happy" to see this issue has been brought up already. Having followed the advice from the ProjectPlac team, I cleared my cache.

Guess what??!! No change.

Still sluggish and annoying. Not being able to open and close multiple folders is also a drawback.

Agree with MB Aasen! I did the cache clearing action, but no noticable luck.
I think PP team really need to put effort in improving speed, or turn around the update. I dont really care about the changed looks, even that has worsened!! The dropdown menu to open the folder/file menu is hardly visible (light grey on white, no visible column separation...).

We are working on a whole new version of Documents for which the design spec is "lightning fast".

I like the design spec Lightning Fast. Sounds promising. Hope it proves to work on all kinds of systems (in reality), not only the developers PC....
Carry on the good work!
