Hi Thomas,

Thanks for your feedback. What we did in the last release was to discontinue the stand alone powertab browser which was built on old technology. Instead we now open the standard browser on your system, which is something you can choose yourself. we have actually made it possible for you to choose.

Drag and Drop only works in Internet Explorer. So if you want Internet Explorer to start as standerd, please open Internet Explorer and go to Internet Options. Undet the Programs tab, you will find a setting to make internet explorer the standard browser.

Best regards,
Karolina

Hi!

This currently means that you "force" your users to use IE as default browser as PP works best in IE. But we might still want to have another browser for all the rest.

Either always start IE or allow us to select browser in PP plugin or develop the same support for all browsers.

I agree with the anonymous comment: please make the PP plug-in always open IE (or give the user a choice in the plug-in settings). I should not have to change my default browser just for this plug-in to work properly. The previous version of the plug-in was effectively running IE, and that's the behavior you should continue until you fully support other browsers.

The most naturally thing for sneaking out a MAJOR change like this would have been to at least provide a setting in the power tab for what browser that should be used with PowerTab. Preferably some special setting for that browser, for instance IE can be run with out menus and tabs, this will pretty mucj look the same as the old PP-browser. But if you use IE as your default browser you probably don't like this kind of setting for "normal" browsing.

Give us some settings!!!!

Agree with the comments above. When using Chrome as standard browser and only IE7 in emergencies (legacy apps) this new projectplace policy makes it very hard to work efficiently.

Please create PowerTab options (use of IE7) and also we do need to see Chrome compliance (it is a standards based browser after all), or at least a quick fix with a Chrome extension.

Thank you in advance!

We had a new Projectplace release on May 8th 2012, and some changes were made to the PowerTab. It now opens in your default browser and the PowerTab browser no longer exists.
One of the reasons for this is that we are going to release our new interface for all customers on June 18th 2012, and the PowerTab browser does not work well with the new interface.

If the Projectplace plug-in (Drag & Drop and Open & Lock) no longer works for you when you log in via the PowerTab, you will need to set Internet Explorer as your default browser.
If this is not possible, you can download our "Document Manager," which works in all browsers and gives you Open & Lock functionality (but not Drag & Drop) here:
