To publish documents on the project website you have to post them under important document. For some projects we share a lot of documents on the website and there is no way to organise the documents in folder and sub-folder as it is in the document module.
Would be very convenient to have this feature in the important document module and by consequence on the website.
What do you think?
Kind regards
Jacques
Many thanks Karolina,
Would be great.
Kind regards
Jacques
We have the same issue, we want to be able to share alot of documents via the Website. Why not create an "Important Docs" Folder in Documents and automatically publish the contents of this folder to the Project Site, rather than the slightly odd way you have to do it today.
Dear Mark, This is a great idea and will ease the current process. Hope it will meet the need of other users.
This is important as many of our customers use the project site for sharing documents in procurement projects. I discussed it with a customer today and he needs to publish approx 50 documents.
For this to work well the following should be done (at least):
1. Make it possible to select documents AND folders from the document structure in Projectplace. The file picker today only allows you to pick documents from your computer. Since there is a new file picker implemented, it should not be a big job.
2. The Project Site should be given a slightly mor modern look.
This is a good news Karolina, and the idea to have by project a public folder will be usefull.
Kind regards
Jacques
Any update on when you will make it possible to create sub-folders?
Going through and updating status of closed ideas according to our new way of working. New process works as follows:
1. When you post a new idea that we consider valid, we will label it 'Open to vote for', so that it can be shared with other users and start gathering votes
2. Ideas that are support-related, already exist in some manner or non-implemented ideas that are older than a year and that have not gathered enough votes will be Archived.
3. We keep some older ideas that we think are in line with something we are planning otherwise or that have gathered enough votes.
4. If there are duplication of ideas, we may archive one of them and keep another which can continue to gather votes.
5. Ideas that we are planning to implement will be moved into the category 'Accepted'
