Hi Jonas,

Windows should be able to pick up the mime type in recent documents, it does for me with xls. Does it happen for you consistently with excel documents, other documents?

Please check what the mime type is in the documents tab of your project for the specific documents that you have problems with. If you keep getting this problem, I advice you to contact our support on support@projectplace.com and they will get right back to you. They are open 9-17 on weekdays.

Best regards,
Karolina

Tested with a Word document as well, no luck though.

It works when I go through the Documents tab, regardless of document type.

What operating system and web browser do you use? Do you have either the Projectplace Plug-in or the Document Manager installed? Please try installing the appropriate one from the following link http://www.projectplace.com/features/document-management-...

I'm using Windows 7 SP1 and IE 9 (9.0.8112.16421 update version 9.0.6).

I have the plug-in installed and it works fine from the Documents tab.
