Request to log on after time-out?
Need to authenticate even if you're logged on in another browser window?
I've seen ideas where people complain about these issues and Projectplace counters with security concerns etc. It of course depends on if you log on from a secure computer or not as well.
I want you to have a "Stay signed in" checkbox at your logon screen, as Google, Facebook and countless other services have, for us that prefer not to be logged out. And keep us logged on if that checkbox is checked (cookie, I suppose)
As for security, take cues from these vendors.

Matthias
Hi Matthias,
Thanks for your feedback. I should really put this idea in two statuses "In testing" and "Not right now". Bad news first, right? The kind of solution that you describe is not something we consider right now. We have a lot of very security conscious customers who would not appreciate the potential risk of having a "stay singed in" checkbox that would be available on any computer.
Now for the good news! We are currently testing a single sign-on solution through SALM in our own office with the intention of making that available to our customers. What that means is that you could access Projectplace without logging in at all a long as you're logged in on your local network for instance. I use it at work and it seems to be working completely seamlessly. It is looking like it might be going to be released (at least for beta) later this year.
Best regards,
Karolina
So your security concious customers do not trust their employees, is that really your problem?
Google and others have very good security measures, like tracking which computers you log on from, email notifications to alert users of odd behavious, phone authentication for increased security...
Another route you can take to ease our pain is the OWA route and have a "public" and "private" log on option where "private" gives you much longer timeout timers.
Whatever route you take, there is no excuse that I need to log on in a browser window when I am already logged on in another window.
SAML lösningen är säkert jättefin men är endast en lösning för de som är villiga att satsa på en integrering. Vill påstå att de flesta organisationer inte har en SAML tjänst ännu.
Best regards,
Matthias
I totally agree with Matthias!
