When you rightclick a file in Projectplace and choose 'Copy shortcut', and send the link to recipients via regular mail system (e.g. Microsoft Outlook), Projectplace doesn't pickup on changes you make and it's not possible to save changes to the document in Projectplace.
I know that you can send documents via email trough Projectplace, but in many cases it's nice to be able to just send the link to the file.
It would be nice if Projectplace kept the connection to the online version, rather than suggesting to download it, so changes could be saved - after all, Projectplace still ask you to log in, when you click on links to it.

Hi Jon,
Thanks for your feedback. You can send links this way to people who are members of the project. They will then be asked to log in to the system and can make their changes there.
If you want you can use the review function to send files for review even to people who are not members of the project. The file will then still "live" on projectplace and they can access the file for the duration of the review.
