In my daily project work I have to read and edit several documents in parallel; at the time being, for example, I have 9 documents open in my editor (MS Word), 5 of which are located on projectplace. Some of them are opened from project place with lock, others are unlocked (read-only). Sometimes, I change a document and get confused, because I'm not sure whether I locked the document or not.
For these cases I would very much appreciate if projectplace could add the tag "Read-Only" after the document's name in the title bar of the MS Word window, as the add-in is not going to upload the changes automatically to projectplace after I saved and closed it.
This happened to me once and I was not able to retrieve the changes. Now I'm aware of the risk, but even if I think of it in time, I have no cue to decide whether or not the open document in my editor was locked in projectplace and the add-in will take care of it...
Thanks for supporting this idea,
Alexander
Thinking of it again, a tag indicating "Locked" or "Unlocked" would be closer to the truth, as "Read-Only" has another meaning and other implications in MS Word than in project place, and, at all, it does not really exist for documents in project place - right?
