It¨'s great that participants with a mac can participate, but the functionality is very amputated. Participants can't chat or see chat, video, share documents.
I will suggest that you upgrade this so that the mac user can do the same as PC users. This is a serious disadvantage compared to other web-based webinar solutions.
Hi Thomas,
Thank you for your feedback. We are continually in communication with our partner Netviewer about ways to improve the online meeting experience.
Best regards,
Karolina
Netviewer released a version with improved Mac support. In this version Mac users can start as well as participate in online meetings. Unfortunately, we have not yet been given this version for our users but are talking to Netviewer to try and make that happen.
Best regards,
Karolina
Any progress in this?
I cant even get sound on the Netviewer webinars using Mac, so its pretty much useless.
Hi,
This is the information that we have received from our pertner Netviewer about their roadmap for Mac:
http://www.netviewer.com/en/company/news/artikel/article/...
We have asked if we can obtain this version for our customers but have had no positive reply to that. We will of course continue to try and get this for our users also.
Best regards,
Karolina
Any progress with this ? I like Netviewer, but the MAC issue is a major show stopper. Can you give any confimation that this upgrade will happen and if so when it is expected.
Hi all,
We are working actively at changing our current netviewer solution to their Saas solution which would enable Mac users to be moderators. Included in this is also a telephone conference room for each session (they charge extra for that) or you could use one of the "free" services for voice conferencing like msn or skype. I have no time schedule for when we will be able to implement it as we are currently in negotiations with netviewer about how this can be solved technically and about the timeframe. But I will keep you updated here.
Best regards,
Karolina
We are alot of MAC users that are waiting.....
I have commented further in my blog how we think about some of these ideas: http://projectplaceideas.blogspot.com/2010/06/thoughts-af...
How is it going with the idea of getting the netviewer upgrade so it works on a Mac and/or change to webbased? Any time for implementation.
Well I guess this is partially under development. Netviewer's new version will allow Mac users to start online meetings. We are trying to work out the implementation of this in our system. Hopefully later this year.
Best regards,
Karolina
ok, but it is more critical for us that mac users can participate in webinars. With sound and chat function. Will that be in the upgrade that 'hopefully' hapens later this year.
The new version of netviewer which is planned to be deployed in next release, 5th October, will have chat, video and VoIP for Mac users. I will as usual post more in detail about the changes in the release on my blog http://projectplaceideas.blogspot.com.
All the best

It's great I can start meetings from my Mac now. However, I don't seem to be able to share just a portion of the screen. Since I have an Apple 27" display, the view that clients see is very small.
Hi Mark,
Thanks for your feedback. As far as I'm aware, the only solution to this is to change you screen resolutions. I will look into it further when I'm in the office and let you know.
Best regards,
Karolina
