Netviewer released a version with improved Mac support. In this version Mac users can start as well as participate in online meetings. Unfortunately, we have not yet been given this version for our users but are talking to Netviewer to try and make that happen.

Any progress in this?
I cant even get sound on the Netviewer webinars using Mac, so its pretty much useless.

Hi,

This is the information that we have received from our pertner Netviewer about their roadmap for Mac:

We have asked if we can obtain this version for our customers but have had no positive reply to that. We will of course continue to try and get this for our users also.

Any progress with this ? I like Netviewer, but the MAC issue is a major show stopper. Can you give any confimation that this upgrade will happen and if so when it is expected.

How is it going with the idea of getting the netviewer upgrade so it works on a Mac and/or change to webbased? Any time for implementation.

ok, but it is more critical for us that mac users can participate in webinars. With sound and chat function. Will that be in the upgrade that 'hopefully' hapens later this year.

The latest version of Netviewer which was released for our users on the 5th October has chat, VoIP and video for Mac users aswell. You can now also start online meetings on a Mac

It's great I can start meetings from my Mac now. However, I don't seem to be able to share just a portion of the screen. Since I have an Apple 27" display, the view that clients see is very small.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your feedback. As far as I'm aware, the only solution to this is to change you screen resolutions. I will look into it further when I'm in the office and let you know.
