We do not have any plans to open up for pure SQL access. But we do have many plans to open up our system through APIs.

What kind of data is it that you want to access more directly? Can you describe for what purpose?

We would love to know what your need is, it might help us as we try to formulate our APIs.

Hi Jon!

Thank you for your comments! What we REALLY needs now is to access our data, at Projectplace, from local MS Project client. I will think that our need is a "business case" for Projectplace! This would give super enduser functionality and (not at least) reporting capabilities.

I'm looking forward to you comments!

Ok, so you want to work with tasks in Projectplace - using Microsoft Project? Do I understand you correctly?

Projectplace can already import tasks from Microsoft project. But you cannot do the reverse yet.

Hypothetically, what would you feel about the ability to export projectplace tasks to Microsoft Project XML-format? That way you could export and import between the two systems.

Would that solve your need to some extent? Or do you need something more direct, like manipulating a task in Microsoft Project immediately gets reflected in Projectplace?

Jon!
I want to work locally in MS Project maintaining the data (tasks and resources) on Projectplace. I.e. direct online updates.
