Thanks for your feedback. We get quite a lot of feedback concerning search and this is something we are looking into at the moment. You can see some of the other ideas here:

Please feel free to read, comment and vote on those aswell.

At the moment I think it's unlikely that we would index the content of individual documents for search purposes. The documents are all stored encrypted and we do not have access to the contents of your project documentation.

It would also be a an increased functionality if the "search for document" function would be available also when you enter into a sub-folder within a project. The Search function should then be restricted/filtered to a search within this selected folder and sub-folders and not the entire project.

I was quite disappointed to see that text search does not search on contents. There are many search engines available - is it that difficult to integrate it? Being used to google + desktop search with phrases etc. it is quite unexpected that a document repository is not properly searchable.

Hi Rainer,

Thanks for your feeback. Ultimately this is a security question. We do not have access to the contents of your documents. To be able to index the documents for search we would have to open and read them for indexing. At the moment the contents of your documents are encrypted with individual encrytption keys and can only be opened and read by members in your projects. We are thinking about implementing some sort of "open" web based documents, similar to google docs that would be searchable.
