Dear all,

At the moment we are not focusing development efforts into Tasks as this is a legacy planning product that will be replaced by the new planning tools of Timeline, Activities and Boards.

This means that we will not introduce any new functionality into Tasks.

Best regards,
Karolina

Hi Gerhard,

Thank you for your feedback. It would be interesting to hear more from other users of SAP. I'm assuming that you would like these extra fields in Tasks and some way of exporting the information too? Which format do you need for easy import into your SAP system?

Best regards,
Karolina

Hi Karolina,

my goudness, I forgot. Of course we need these extra fields in tasks und need for export to SAP (SAP imports excel-sheets or csv-datas). So this is also the answer to format; a csv.data (means semicolon as tag)

Best regards

Gerhard

Identical request to be found here:
http://ideas.projectplace.com/feedbacks/46344-project-controlling-interface-to-sap-ps ;-)

The best is to delete this request which was created by myself around 2 years ago - without any feedback/credits so far, therefore I believed that most of the people using projectplace have no need for this. Obviously I was wrong.

In general I still believe that this is a good idea since it helps project managers a lot with regard to project controlling. Especially those (mostly external) ressources having no access to the SAP PS module to enter their effort into the time sheet functionality of SAP PS might be able to profit from this ability. Also the PMO profits a lot due to the fact that there is an automatic transfer of the efforts into SAP PS which means that lots of manual effort by PMO ressources can be saved.
However, this requires a clear technical specification and means that Projectplace needs intensive SAP PS Know how - or support by SAP AG itself.

Regarding the market need: Well, the majority of all companies I know work with SAP ERP and lots of them use SAP PS in their daily project business.

Best regards,

Joachim
