I use a lot of different browsers as well both on my pc and mac. We recommend Firefox for mac, but in my experience safari works pretty well for most parts of the system. If you run into problems with Safari however, it could be an idea to check if it works better in Firefox.
I haven't upgraded to Snow Leopard yet, is it worth doing?
