We use the Time Estimate field quite a lot when handling issues. We would like to have a field to describe the actual time consumed as well, for manual reporting and follow-up.
Splendid suggestion
Have wanted this for a long time
very good idea, will give us a better function when following up our projects
Would you like to have Issues that a person is assigned included in the time reporting tool in Projectplace?
Or a separate function for this?
I prefer a specific field, directly within the issue, as easy to reach as adding the estimated time. I will add a picture suggesting where.

The top ideas with status Quality Backlog are discussed on a regular basis with the design team. These should be minor development, and could include hygiene factors, little things that create a wow effect and ideas that could have a positive effect on a lot of users.
Tests
we are using issues quite a lot. However, the lack of time tracking is a major issue for us.
Since assignments to an issue can change imo it would be necessary to add "spent time" field to each comment (per user). Also it would be useful to link the issue to a project task.
We discussed this at a quality meeting and feel the need to understand the idea better. Someone from the user experience team will post our questions here.
Question for crystallizing Your goal
Why do you want to do a follow up?
Questions for crystallizing Your needs
What do you want to follow up on?
Who is supposed to do the time reporting for an Issue?
When do you do a follow up?
While tasks are good for planned work we use issues for unplanned work though lack the ability to report time spent for assigned members in the time-reporting section, maybe it could go there instead of in the issue section becuse then you get the time spent "by who" correctly
With only one comment we feel like this could be moved back to the backlog. We are in the process of investigating how we should support collaborative planning and tracking of project work. This is something that will be brought up under the umbrella of that pre study.
