Hi Neil,

Thanks for sharing your feedback! If you just go into the task again and click on "dependencies" you should be able to untick the boxes for your dependencies. I'll try to a little screencast on how to do this in the afternoon, but right now i'm slightly swamped.

Let me know how you get on:)

Hi, Karolina,

Thanks very much for responding!

I'm sorry, I can't fix this as you say. In the Work Plan/Gantt Chart view, When opening the "Edit Task/Dependencies" screen, there are two options. "Earliest start date" on the left side and "Latest end date" on the right side, with the list of task below.

If I select a task and set a dependency to "earliest start date" (left side), the you are correct, I can remove the dependency by simply de-selecting the corresponding task.

However, if I set the dependency to be "latest end date" (right side), then I cannot remove the dependency and the red link between the two tasks remains.

If you select the right side radio button, all the ticked (selected) dependencies clear, so there is nothing to untick (deselect)!

Send me your email if you can't replicate this and I will send you a screen dump if you like, or you go to my project yourself and try to remove the "Video Integration" milestone from the "Project Review" task...

Good luck!

Hi!

I have tried several ways to reproduce this but can't seem to do it. I think maybe you could contact support support@projectplace.com to try and see if we can help you sort out your wayward dependency.

For security reasons we don't have access to any customer projects unless we get invited (but please don't! there are better ways of showing us what goes wrong). But I'm sure we could sort this out in an online meeting or by some further troubleshooting in your project.

You can include the link to this thread in the forum so you don't have to type everything again.
