I'm trialling the tool with a view to purchasng. It's a great tool but the task scheduling functionality is let down by not keeping dependancies for follow on tasks when changing the duration of a predecessor.
Example I have a task that has a number of follow on tasks each dependant on the one before. I change the end date of the first task and because the subsequent tasks are dependant one would expect them to move to the right to reflect the new end day of the predecessor. But they dont, instead the dependancy line turns red to flag a scheduling error and all the follow on tasks stay at the same dates.
Such a basic function but it's not there, I don't see how anyone use this to plan complex project without this feature supported - e.g. 300 lines in a WBS and change one task and then need to mannually update all child tasks.
Am I missing a way of doing this perhaps?
At the moment we are not focusing development efforts into Tasks as this is a legacy planning product that will be replaced by the new planning tools of Timeline, Activities and Boards.
This means that we will not introduce any new functionality into Tasks.
