I would like to see a plugin like the Firefox plugin for Windows available for Firefox for Mac.
It is very cumbersome when updating a document to first download it, update it, and then to navigate around to upload a new version. The windows plugin makes this so easy by just being able to click the document and have it automatically upload it when done.
I agree. Mac is coming up as a tool for project participants and should have the same easy GUI as the PC-users
Ideas with status Business Case require a bit more development and might affect several parts of the system. These will therefore have to be prioritised against other new development. The way we do this is by writing a business case for the development and then discussing the prioritisation of the business cases. We write business cases for the top ideas in this category.
I just bought myself a MacBook a couple days ago and would like to ask you to put the developement of a plugin for Mac on your priority list. This would make working with Projectplace much easier for me. Thank you very much.
I agree, it has been half a year - such developments should not take this long.
The business case for this is now done, it will hopefully be discussed in mid August when the holidays are over.
I also fully agree! Still doesn't work with mac...;
Hi, please add this function so I can start using my iMac when working from home.
Not only for Firefox but for Safari as well.
Could you please update your status for this necessary fix. We're now in December and your last update is from July.
This Business Case is up for review still. Hopefully I should have some more information about how we will proceed with this after the review. But there are no immediate plans for a plug-in for Mac.
To read more about how to work with Projectplace without the Plug-In installed (quite a few of our PC users do aswell for a varying no of reasons), please refer to the online help:

I now switch and bring to laptops on my travels and work - only because of the project place rejection and slow uptake of support to mac users.I consider to switch to Project360 or another more mac friendly tool, when i start up a new round of internal projects in Delta. I have heard that the review of a mac business case is more slow than a turtle. Look around the world (or in air planes). Your key target groups now start using macs.
My collaborators convinced me to use projectplace for our future planning, but the fact that project place does not support macs, troubles me now a lot. I use a mac and many design studios we are in contact with use them either! For a service in this price range you should really not neglect the mac users. Can you give us update by when you will support project place? By the way it seems Apple will present a new tablet soon, a nice tool for projectplanning. Maybe another reason to speed up with a better support for Macs
This is in the product backlog and we are exploring solutions. Please do also check out the links for how to work without the plug-in/powertab. Projectplace works fine on a mac (most things work in Safari as well even though we officially only support Firefox). I use one myself at home with no problems.
We shouldn't be obliged to beg and vote for you to create a Mac friendly environment with Mac specific plug-ins!
I have now 50+ people internationally in my project, and it causes so big problem with trying to convince (Mac-users around 50%) and educate differently in using the PP-tool. While your colleaugues in the last 2-3 years have been looking at your backlog - i will now be looking for another solution for my large company, with Mac interface or integration. Fortunately there are some out there now. It is a pity, because i think PP has a lot of useful functionalities. But i cant sit here looking at this discrimination of a specific - yet creative and powerful user group. Follow the stock exchange and realize that the old world is changing (again) - die with Steve Ballmer or live with the future
Sorry for changing strategy - but you leave me no other choiche. Hope your backlog gets the dust off. I will stay in the running projects and then it is goodbye time with PP for my sake, unless that a final release date for a Mac Plugin could be announced ?
It seems totally out of date that a Company like PP does NOT support MAC.
On a daily base we are talking down on PP because og that
At our company more people start using mac's. so please ad mac support, otherwise we have to switch to a more mac friendly environment.
It seems like a dead end. Huddle, Basecamp.. See you soon
Hmmm ... Total silence. Maybe the swedish communication strategy ???. After my current project ends, i will abandon PP for future projects until the issues/discrimination is solved. If ever solved.
I´m not in position to cancel PP on my ongoing project but will do whatever I can to get a platformchange untill PP is supporting Mac/Firefox.
I´m using too much time each day because PP is not supporting one of the worlds most used platforms
