I reported a similar issue as a bug in the system, but got feedback from support that this is a feature in the system, since a change in text in the drop down menu would change on all cards that used this text. Why is there an option to edit if edit is not possible?
Btw, edit is possible for free text options for custom fields.
I also compare to the use of labels for cards in boards. Here we are able to change text. But off course this only concerns the specific board. Perhaps it would be a better idea to move customs fields to boards instead? Or perhaps in addition to the current where it is connected to Workspace?
