Yes, this is a crucial item!
Without that it is not possible to plan anything!!!

Hi Juergen!
Thanks for your feedback! Once a month our product management look into Ideas to see if there are any smaller enhancements that could be brought to any product development team. This idea will be brought up to the next monthly meeting.
Best regards

I completely agree.

Milestones are critical points in projects. Often it is the point where you need something to be done — a dead line that is really serious.

For me it is quintessential to have the ability to lock the date. Previously I have realised that I (the PL that should have control) have unintentionally changed date of several milestones just panning the window. So, as implemented today, I don't trust a milestone date!

A dirty and ugly hack is to create activities just before and after a milestone and link them together with "dependencies" and then lock the activities by date. This is indeed not aesthetically pleasing and it is also not exact as it still may differ by one day (try it out and you see what I mean).

So, I tend to skip using milestones altogether. At the end of the day I simply use activities. But I really would like to use mile stones. After all, that is an important part of distinguish different parts of a project and make it sensible.

Please consider this important and, to me, obvious feature.

Best Regards
Jonas Tidström

Agree to the others, milestones are more importent to lock than activities. BR/Stefan
