Hi Bernhard!
Thanks for sharing your feedback! This sounds like a good idea, however this is something that we right now don´t have on our roadmap. But we continuously go back to Ideas for getting input for improvements we can do in our service.

Best regards

I need this also for local Microsoft OneNote Files (like "onenote:///C:/Users/User1/onenote/notebook1/notebook.one#Test%202&section-id={11CDFE20-2DD1-4211-99AB-BE7CB773689E}&page-id={13E82BB7-83DA-454C-B121-B19E774986E6}&end")!

This is an old post but I agree. This feature would be very helpful for those of us who use software that is not supported. For example we use Adobe Illustrator and InDesign for most of our projects. Even though I dont need to upload the files, it would be nice to provide a local link to our server showing where the files are located. I was just trying to figure out how to do this exact thing as I evaluate ProjectPlace.
