Going through and updating status of closed ideas according to our new way of working. New process works as follows:

1. When you post a new idea that we consider valid, we will label it 'Open to vote for', so that it can be shared with other users and start gathering votes
2. Ideas that are support-related, already exist in some manner or non-implemented ideas that are older than a year and that have not gathered enough votes will be Archived.
3. We keep some older ideas that we think are in line with something we are planning otherwise or that have gathered enough votes.
4. If there are duplication of ideas, we may archive one of them and keep another which can continue to gather votes.
5. Ideas that we are planning to implement will be moved into the category 'Accepted'

Related to this idea, it becomes even MORE important for an admin account to have access to all projects. That idea is here: http://ideas.projectplace.com/feedbacks/153848-give-account-admin-admin-access-projects

If two users start duplicate projects and don't invite me, then NOBODY will be able to detect the duplication. There is NO admin who can oversee the whole portfolio and identify problems like this!

Thanks for your feedback! I get unsure when you say Directory because there is a search there at the top. Then you can sort each column. I will also attach an image just to be clear we talk about the same place.

Hi Silvija,
What we need is a search possibility with much more filters, so you can narrow down projects that are relevant. As I understand it, it's know only possibly to search on one word.

Hi!

I know that, but is not enough when we have 2-300 Projects in a couple of month. The sort column is ok when you have a small amount of Projects. Why not make it like Excel where you can filter the Projects or the way you do in the Project Office where you can filter the two coloumns called Project Role and department.

You have to make it easier for Project Head Admins and also the Project Leaders. We re 9.000 employees, 5 departments and 80 Project Managers and.... You have to believe me when I say that it is important that we can overview all Projects and have the correct tools so we can administrate things easier.

I totally agree with Søren. But I would like to add, that search with more than one keyword is needed, so a search can be narrowed down.
It would also be nice to have the possibility to export a search into an excel file. If you can do this in 'projects' it must be easy to set up this feature in 'directory'.

Related to this is the possibility to search in Portfolios, including any free text fields that exist. Coupled with the possibility to add tags to projects, life would be a lot easier for the PMO.

Thanks again for all input, it is very valuable. I also want to mention with the latest release we had on 26th of October, "Directory" is now found under Account Administration, in the menu next to the search.

Jerker, I would suggest you create a new idea for search in Portfolios, then users will get the chance to also vote for your idea!
