Changing the way we work with Ideas, thus updating the status of your idea in line with the new process. New process works as follows:

1. When you post a new idea that we consider valid, we will label it 'Open to vote for', so that it can be shared with other users and start gathering votes
2. Ideas that are older than a year that we haven't gotten around to implement and that have not gathered enough votes will be archived.
3. We keep some older ideas that we think are in line with something we are planning otherwise or that have gathered enough votes.
4. If there are duplication of ideas, we may archive one of them and keep another which can continue to gather votes.
5. Ideas that we are planning to implement will be moved into the category 'Accepted'

Hi Chris!
Thanks for sharing your idea with us! I am interested in the reason to why you need to export to MSP after you imported it to Projectplace? Is the reason that PP lack any functionality which is important for you?

As of now this is not something that has been discussed recently and nothing we have on the roadmap for 2016 so hearing the use case is of big interest for us!

Best regards,
Silvija

Hi Silvija,

I just found it odd that you can import into PP but then you can’t export and edit. I get that you want all planning to be done in PP and that you can do an initial import of a plan, then maintain it. Unfortunately I don’t feel the plan aspect of PP is up to the standard we would use it for, hence why I wanted to maintain my plan in MSP and then import my updates on a weekly basis.

Was just curious why it’s not two way.

Thanks,
Chris

Actually this need is not something we have heard so much before so that is why we are interested in your need. Is it that your need for this functionality exists because Projectplace lacks some features that you find in MSP? And if so, is this something you imagine could be added to our plan?
Best regards
Silvija

Silvija, you won't necessarily hear about it because people will ignore it and recognise it only for being a very simplistic planning tool. Features like faster entry of tasks - take a look at how tasks are entered into SharePoint 2013 task list, and that you can cut and paste from clipboard or excel.

The ability to filter is very important.

Silvija, this is important when you work on a company that runs multiple projects, mostly in MS Project and someone consolidates all .mpp on a regular basis (once a week). This would help introduce PP as a new tool on a smother way.

We have the requiremennt to export into MS Project as well. We use plans in PP to do integrated planning with documents and cards, but our customer needs a regular export to MS Project format.
