Hi Per,

Thanks for your feedback. We are just in the process of releasíng a new document management app for Mac. You are more than welcome to test the beta and give us feedback. The new app should be much more reliable.

You can find the download file here:
https://help.projectplace.com/wiki/index.php/Projectplace...

Please uninstall the Document Manager if you have it installed befor installing the new Projectplace for Mac.

Best regards
Karolina

The new PP for Mac promises to work with similar functions as the one for PC.
I have now installed it several times, allowed for Adobe Flash to use program addons with PP. Deleted all traces of other programs to attempt document handling.
However I cannot get it working in order to ensure risk free document handling.
Are there any other secret adjustments, programs to uninstall or other magic I can try in order to make it work on my Mac?

Hi Håkon,

You do not need Flash for Projectplace for Mac. However, you do need to have os 10.9 or higher. Which version are you using? If you click on the logo in the top bar and select preferences you get the version number. The current version - which was released yesterday - is 0.7.

You can download the latest version here:

Best regards,
Karolina

Hi Karolina!
How is this fix coming? I`ve just installed "PP for mac", but can´t figure out how to save doc back to PP.

I don´t have document manager installed, and and i do have the latest software. Using firefox.

/Cato

Hi Cato,

Thanks for your feedback. It's hard for me to trouble shoot without further insight to when and where this happens. Saving back to Projectplace is done automatically in the background when you use Projectplace for Mac and close the application that you edit in. You should just be notified that the changes have been saved. you do, however, need to select the "Edit" rather than "read" option when you open the document.

Best regards,
Karolina

Hi Karolina,

I'm actually experiencing the same trouble: I've installed Projectplace for Mac and when opening a file from projectplace in Firefox, I only get the option to save or open the file in the right application, not the PP dialog in the web (screenprint_1). Furthermore, when I've made any changes in the document and save / close it, the changes are not sent back to PP. As a last point I noticed in Firefox: as I do not have the Document Manager installed, I get the message at the top of the PP page to install an addon as shown in screenprint 2.
To make life a bit more complicated, when I follow exact same uses case in Chrome for Mac (!) everything works fine, eg. I do get the dialog to open, or edit in PP and any changes are reverted back to PP including locks etc.
Hope this helps to identify what the exact cause is.
To be complete: I'm on latest version of Firefox on the Mac (37.0.1) and PP for Mac (0.7) Thanks for a resolution :-)

Hi Arjan,

The problems that you are experiencing are most easily dealt with by our support as these are not general and could be relating to settings in your browser or on your computer.

You can reach them at support@projectplace.com and they are good at answering promptly:)

Best regards,
Karolina
