I agree that we could do drag and drop in the chart. However, then we should probably also do a lock for the plan as a whole to prevent accidental moving of items while looking at the plan.

But I will say that the original idea for easier editing of the plan is implemented:)

Thanks for your feedback and Happy New Year. As you know we are working on a new Gantt-view and the interaction to create, group, move items will be greatly improved. I will make sure that the team reads your feedback as input for the interaction design.

The new Plan was released yesterday. How do yo like the interaction? Is it easier to click /select/drag etc in the new Plan?

Hi Karolina,

Yes and no. The drap drop is easier and visually nice on the left side where all the activities are listed. However, I still can't move it up and down in the Gantt overview. This is much more visible and interactive than the name listing on the left. It would be great to also have to possibility to make changes there.
