Hi Henning,

Thanks for your feedback. This is something that we are planning to implement in the not too distant future. As always priorities can change at any moment but right now this is certainly on the horizon.

Best regards,
Karolina

Hi Henning,

As you may have noticed we have not yet included the possibility to assign activities to people. The way you are thinking about this is absolutely in line with how we think about things and we will certainly support this way of working in the future.

In the mean time, please just @ref the person in the comments of the activity to let them work on with a specific part of the plan.

Best regards,
Karolina

I am subscribing to this idea request as well.

It seems a bit counter-intuitive that the plan and the boards interfaces do not integrate as seamlessly as shown during the product presentation.

While cards are indeed possible to be assigned to people, activities cannot; on the other hand, the cards do not allow for setting longer durations for those tasks, so that it can be easy for a PM to get a birds' eye view on how things are going and who does them.

Currently this is only possible by creating an activity, duplicating the activity with a card with the same name, and assigning a person to it.

Can we have an update on timescales, I can't understand how people are managing without this functionality - it is pretty basic to enable you to manage your activities and resources!

The ability to assign activities to persons would be tremendously helpful. I'm having a hard time keeping track of who owns activities. I put owners in the comments but they're not reportable. Most activities don't involve boards, and every activity has an owner. @mentioning someone doesn't help us keep track of who owns which activities, which is critical to proper project management. I need to follow up with owners to see why their activities are overdue. Currently there is no way to do this outside of cards.

As a workaround, we plan to sync with Innotas (which has the ability to add persons to activities) and generate reports from there to track progress by owner. This creates an extra layer of work and reduces visibility to team members who don't work in Innotas.

Please up-prioritize this request. Everyone would benefit!
