We have had a lot of feedback on Projectplace Ideas that you find it annoying to have to keep logging in throughout the workday. Now we have a "keep me logged in" option on the login page that will do just what it says. Tick it, and forget about logging in. It will be rolled out gradually

ProjectPlace should allow saving passwords, just like most every other online utility. Even PayPal allows it and they have much larger security concerns! ProjectPlace times out often plus the tight password requirements – it makes this unnecessarily frustrating...

We're currently looking into making a change in how the auto logout works. Changes will be happening later this year but it will not disappear completely. Probably we will make administrators decide on the level of security needed in their project. The default log out time will probably change to a much longer time rendering re-logins throughout the day unnecessary.

How does that sound?

Best regards,
Karolina

Will there be a time limit (ex. 6 hrs) or will it be current browser session based (end if browser closed)?

At any rate, this sounds very good, thank you!

Anonymous, the "keep me logged in" feature is independent of whether the browser window is closed or not, so you can even restart the computer and come back, still being logged in.
